About us
Sunfunnels is an artistic floral design studio serving Nevada City, Grass Valley, and the Lake Tahoe Area in California. This year we are SooO excited to be farming our favorite flowers again!! In the off season we are using market flowers to fill orders and sourcing local and regional whenever possible. Owner Juli Elin holds a Bachelor degree in Sculpture and uses her artistic experience in all the designs.
Sunfunnels is a made-up word essentially meaning to “channel happiness,” which is easy to accomplish when flowers are involved.
about Juli
Juli is a long-time resident of Nevada City, California, but was birthed and raised in the weird subtropics of Florida. She earned a BFA in sculpture at the University of Florida and goes by “ Snowbroth” in her regular art practice and is known for her fibrous weavings and accumulations of any and all materials rich in color and texture.
Constant evolution has inspired Juli to begin growing and using plants and flowers as her artistic medium in a fusion with her love for sculpture and design. She has an affinity for all Celosia ( especially cristata, the fuzzy brain flower) In addition to her aesthetic passions, Juli cultivates medicinal herbs for her community.
